Okay, due to popular demand, sure I'll tell you what the actual opinion is here at The End.
That is, what are three BEST books in the last fifteen years in Political Science / Political Economy?
1. Hernando de Soto, THE MYSTERY OF CAPITAL
2. Fareed Zakaria, THE FUTURE OF FREEDOM
3. Martin Wolf, WHY GLOBALIZATION WORKS
So, there.
Happy to hear other nominees in comments....let me know what I got wrong.

Watch those Amazon #'s. Oprah is getting some competition from Mungo.
I think "best" is going to be very subfield specific. For example, I'd probably argue for Zaller's The Nature and Origins of Mass Opinion and Alvarez and Brehm's Hard Choices, Easy Answers as my top 2; I'd have to ponder some more (and not be in a hotel room in Ohio) for #3. Probably not The Macropolity—Partisan Hearts and Minds is more likely, and not just because Brad Palmquist nearly landed me a job once.
Not related to this post, but I'd be interested in hearing The End's take on federal bailouts to the Gulf Coast.
It hard to say really, since:
"Mungo only pawn in game of life!"
