What is Shujaat on about with this?
Things I liked:
1. The most excellent soundtrack.
2. The butt cracks of the American soldiers. Very realistic.
3. The disembodied foot trying to vote. Very Fellini.
But, what is going on here? The poor guy trying to vote is killed by the Americans, showing their ass. They kill him twice. Then he gets nailed by the insurgents. After they cut him up, the foot goes to vote. Is democracy gaining a toehold?
Won't you help me? I'm a simple professional wrestler. I don't understand deep stuff.

The Iraqi, puzzled by the idea of voting amid the devestation of his country, is trying to decide what to do. An Amerian tank arrives to make his choice clear, pushing him to the polls (not killing him, although I see how you might get confused). To cast his "free" ballot, he must pass under the barrels of the guns of the incompetent occupiers of his country, who are lazily shooting at an unseen enemy, contributing to the general devestation without making anything safer. In fact, when he arrives at the voting booth, it turns out to be a trap set by the extremists under the nose of the Americans, and the Iraqi is promptly executed on video for trying to vote. Since it has been made clear that voting isn't really optional, what's left of the Iraqi -- a bloody stump -- makes its way to a voting box and casts its ballot despite the fact that it's already dead. Of course, at the end of all this, it can only vote for leaders pre-approved by Uncle Sam in consulation with Dick Cheney, making a mockery of the idea that the election was "free" or that it was contributing to self-determination.
It's not terribly funny, but I'm mystified about why you didn't understand it.
