And he's a vegan.

Ah yes, he must be in the pocket of the notorious Big Vegan cartel!

I don't think it's a bad thing for people to be skeptical of advice when there are potential conflicts of interest.
But in this case, the alleged conflict of interest (or worse, being bought off) is not really believable.
It is more plausible (I hope people will see it) that after a career in cardiology, he sees the benefits of a vegan diet (for adults anyway). Causality runs the other way.
Duh. Everyone in America is susceptable to the influences of large, corporate firms. Execpt critics, of course.
