The thing I notice is "Conserve water so our farmers can grow food."
Every time I see them digging up that rich, black Minnesota loam for a new housing development, or a grain elevator so full in May that they've still got corn piled up four stories high _outside_, I can't help but wonder what weird confluence of events led to us growing food in a desert and ethanol on some of the richest farm land in the world.
