Paul Samuelson: RIP
Paul Samuelson died today at the age of 94. He won the Nobel prize in Economics in 1970. He had a huge influence on the profession both as a researcher and as a textbook author.
However, given current circumstances, I wonder if he would like to retract this quote:
“I don’t care who writes a nation’s laws — or crafts its advanced treatises — if I can write its economics textbooks”

RIP; but you've done much more harm than good on this earth with your economic schemes.
RIP Samuelson; your economic schemes have left this world far worse off than it would have been without you. No mincing words here; Samuelson was a detriment to humanity. He is one of the faces behind economic backing for the modern industrial war complex, not just to "fix" the economy but to "grow" the economy, helping to ensure perpetual warfare. He was a typical elitist intellectual believing his value judgments were supreme and should be followed by all. --So RIP Paul Samuelson. Here's to knowing that you will play no more part in writing anymore textbooks. -Sean
