Broken Windows and Giving Away Money

Grand Game!

Apparently, it doesn't matter how much we tax, as long as give the money away.  Because the people who receive the money will be made better off.

You can read it yourself!

A nod to EM

There are two ways to interpret the statement. First is that there are no deadweight losses to taxation, which is clearly false. Second is that nominal spending will remained unchanged, which is more defensible. In fact, if you think the "multiplier" is higher than 0, spending will go up from a tax and spend program. You may disagree with that (I do), but there are smart people who believe it.
