You don't have to make it up - just wallow around the log jams in the Washita River, hoping nothing unforseen gets hold of you (I hear beavers are the worst). Bob's Pig Shop has pretty good sandwiches and you get to see a whole lot of big catfish at the weigh in - most of which are immediately trucked back to the river or lake they came from using areated tanks.
Never did it myself, but my wifes nephew did for a few years when he was a teenager.
