Hooray for gridlock!
Wouldn't "gridlock" raise taxes since the Bush tax cuts, the AMT, and other taxes are scheduled to hit hard next year? Furthermore, wouldn't gridlock keep spending pretty much where it is because it would prevent any efforts to cut spending?
Finally, aren't governments just as likely to spend more under divided government, so that everyone can get their piece of cake?
