As the tennis circuit turns toward the super-short grass court season, serve speeds pick up and bad bounces multiply. Just ask French pro Marc Giquel (below right in the photo), who took a 129 mph shot in the shorts from Benjamin Becker at the Wimbledon warm-up tourney in Germany yesterday.Ouch.
Although I must say that speaking strictly for myself, I'd rather be Giquel than the anonymous tour trainer shown icing down Giquel's privates in the photo.
Oh, and Giquel eventually returned to the court and won the match!
