La Maison Blanc's current resident, by contrast, apparently has only one idea, but fails to recognize we can't even afford that...

Yeah, my favorite idea is the one that "insurance companies should not be allowed to discriminate on the basis of health." Huh? I guess the operational word is discriminate. It's mere inclusion insinuates that anyone opposed to the idea is intolerant. I would like to propose that prospective employers should not be allowed to discriminate on the basis of marginal productivity. Well, at least that would make academics happy.
