I do hope Duke has some course in poll construction. This question is like so many others: no option for me. It is "53% oppose and 34% favor with 13% being unsure." What? I'm quite firm in my opinion, yet I neither favor nor oppose the project. Why do these numbers add to 100% ???
The post you link to is more than a bit disingenuous, but I'll give the author credit for reproducing the actual data. If he hadn't combined the responses from all 5 boroughs of NYC, he'd have had to report that all New Yorkers other than Manhattanites oppose the project at slightly higher rates than the country as a whole.
So the actual "news" in this poll is that Manhattanites are very different from the rest of us.

Question: Who owned this property and sold it to those who propose to build on it? Who owns the property now?

I'm stunned.
