College hoops sucks

Good Lord. In the national title game, UCON shot 34% from the field, WHICH WAS ALMOST DOUBLE Butler's 18%. I am so glad I didn't watch that abomination. In fact, I made the whole year without watching a single college game, and I am pretty sure I'll never watch another one (unless Pluto somehow gets a scholarship).

Sorry, have to say it.

You love the NBA = ZERO credibility on this.

Wait a minute. We have a third rate team from a second rate school (Butler) getting embarrassed by a second rate team from a third rate school (UConn), and the winning coach is poster child for everything that's wrong with college sports....

I'm afraid anyone who defends that game is the one without credibility. Angus is claiming the players just aren't very good. What part of that game makes you think he's wrong?

Angus has a point. If they were able to play by NBA rules, they would've shot 84% and 78% respectively since dribbling is optional and two out of three shots are required to be uncontested dunks.

Not to defend the game. It was miserable. But I'd still be torn if I had to choose to watch that or an NBA game.

It was a horrible game, but that's what's great about college basketball and the tourney. It's the unpredictability. The fact that there are so many different organizational strategies used successfully. And that even the best players make obvious mistakes. The NBA for me has become a contest between team owners to see who can assemble the biggest and fastest hood rats. Sure some colleges use the same strategy, but they don't always win.
